In compliance with the Health and Safety at Work ACT 1974 etc, we wish to state that it is Klassic's policy to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all our employees and to provide such information, training and supervision as deemed necessary.

The compilation of our Health and Safety policy is in total compliance with the mandatory requirements of the HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK ACT 1974 and the operational easements akin to the portfolios inherent within KLASSIC MAINTENANCE LIMITED. Also, Amendments, Addenda and updates is opportunely incorporated into our policies and practices as and when necessary to project continuous and up-to-date adherence and/or application at all times.

All our employees have the following obligations that they are constantly made aware of via memos, verbally, Newsletters, Training and Staff Notice board.

  • To reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work, and therefore should bring to the attention of their immediate supervisor any defects or deficiencies that they may have observed in all items of plant, equipment, tools, machinery etc.
  • Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or not do.
  • Co-operation with your employer on health and safety.
  • Not interfering with or misusing anything provided for your health, safety and welfare.

In Klassic, our standard Health and Safety orientation revolves around three main phases viz;

  • Initial training for all new employees irrespective of their status. This takes 30 minutes approximately and is delivered by our Compliance Manager who is also the company's Health and Safety Officer. This training is immediately followed by the reading of our full Health and Safety Policy manual and acknowledgement by all new employees.
  • Site specific training. Again this last approximately 30 minutes, but it is performed at the particular location where the new employee shall be working.
  • Thirdly is our ongoing updates in written form are communicated via notice boards, our newsletter, memos and verbally to all employees.

It is our intention to continually recognise our obligations under the Health and Safety laws and act upon them in compliance.
